The collaboration between the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis (LIOS) and the Centre de Résonance Magnétique Nucléaire à Très Hauts Champs (CRMN) in Lyon, France, continues to strengthen through active researcher exchanges and joint scientific initiatives under the MR LATVIA project.

From 3 to 7 November 2025, Dr. Alons Lends visited CRMN Lyon to share research experience, carry out collaborative NMR experiments, and participate in the facility’s scientific activities. His visit formed an integral part of the MR LATVIA project’s international collaboration efforts, aimed at fostering excellence in magnetic resonance research and training.

The visit was closely linked to the ongoing MR LATVIA Early Stage Researcher exchanges, involving PhD students Alvis Zvirgzdiņš and Kristīne Senkāne, who are currently engaged in joint studies with CRMN scientists. Together, these initiatives provided an excellent opportunity to discuss experimental strategies, address methodological challenges, and plan the next steps in their collaborative research projects.

Such hands-on visits and scientific discussions are a cornerstone of the MR LATVIA mission — promoting knowledge exchange, skill development, and innovation in high-field NMR research. We are delighted to see the partnership between LIOS and CRMN Lyon continue to evolve, strengthening both expertise and future research directions within the European NMR community.
